The Noble House fire that occurred on January 8 in Iqaluit was a tragedy, leaving more than 30 families homeless. Thankfully no injuries or deaths have been reported as a result.
We are thankful to the first responders and everyone who was able to assist those in need during the emergency and throughout the aftermath.
Several businesses, community leaders, and organizations were quick to mobilize to support the victims of this life-changing disaster. We are proud to be able to support those affected with the following:
- Reduced rate travel until March 31, 2025 from Iqaluit to Ottawa for impacted individuals
- Free cargo shipping allotment per individual for shipments between Iqaluit and Ottawa or Iqaluit and Montreal
The Canadian North Iqaluit Team personally contacted a member of each family to ensure immediate support was offered.
