A Few Travelling Tips
Travel Bank 101
Travel Bank is a new customer refund solution that allows passengers to manage ticket refunds online or through our Customer Contact Centre, in a convenient single account.
Passengers can use their Travel Bank funds as a form of payment towards tickets for travel on Canadian North. Funds can be applied to the full amount of the purchase including taxes and fees, including change fees.
Travel Bank funds can also be combined with one (1) additional form of payment. This is limited to Visa & MasterCard credit and debit cards, American Express credit cards or cash.
When tickets are issued using Travel Bank as a form of payment, the Travel Bank account will be automatically updated to reflect the transaction.

Questions & Answers
Can I use Travel Bank to pay baggage fees?
No. At this time funds cannot be used to pay for baggage fees.
Does this mean I won’t get my money back if I cancel my flight?
This depends on the type of fare you book. Our Super Flex fares remain refundable to the original form of payment used for the original ticket purchase. Travel Bank provides customers with a convenient account to hold refunds for their purchase of non-refundable fares, such as our Saver and Flex fares. Always be sure to check the fare type and its associated terms and conditions before booking.
How does Travel Bank interface with Aurora or Aeroplan Points? Can I still use my points towards flights?
Your Travel Bank is attached to your unique Aurora Rewards number, which is used for your customer profile with Canadian North.
Flights booked on points are not associated with Travel Bank, however Travel Bank funds can be used to pay for fees and taxes associated with redeeming Aurora points for travel. Should you cancel a flight booked on points, that process remains the same.
Travel Bank can be applied towards the payment of fees and taxes for Aurora Rewards redemption purchases. Travel Bank may not be used for purchases made via Aeroplan.
Are change fees increasing? If so, to what?
No, our fees won’t be increasing. As part of this implementation, and in line with industry standards, our change and cancellation policies have been updated for our retail non-refundable fares. Starting March 6, 2025, our existing change fees will be updated to a change/cancellation fee. Saver fares may be cancelled and refunded to your Travel Bank for the same fee of $100-$115, and Flex fares may be cancelled and refunded to your Travel Bank for the same fee of fee of $50-$57.50. There are no cancelation fees associated with Super Flex fares.
