Background
On February 24, 2025, Canadian North shareholders Makivvik Corporation and Inuvialuit Development Corporation announced they have entered into an agreement to sell Bradley Air Services Limited, which operates as Canadian North, to Exchange Income Corporation (EIC). As part of this transition, it was also announced that the Montreal to Kuujjuaq route will not be included in the acquisition and will instead be fully transferred to Air Inuit.

What this means for Passengers
The Montreal/Kuujjuaq route will transition to Air Inuit for all booked travel occurring on or after August 6, 2025. Canadian North will stop selling tickets for travel on this route occurring on or after August 6, 2025. We will continue selling tickets for travel up to and including August 5, 2025.
What you can expect
- Canadian North is reviewing existing bookings and will begin processing changes shortly.
- Bookings made directly with Canadian North will have their changes processed automatically. Passengers will receive rebooking confirmations from Air Inuit directly.
- Each rebooking scenario is different. Please see the below table for more details about how your rebooking will be managed.

Questions & Answers
I am booked to travel on the Montreal/Kuujjuaq Route on or after August 6, 2025. What does this mean for me?
- Passengers who have booked travel with Canadian North directly (including Aurora Rewards redemption bookings and bookings with Air Inuit connecting flights), will automatically receive confirmation of their rebooking from Air Inuit.
- If your booking was made through Aeroplan, a travel agency, a third-party, or other airline, please review the Rebooking Scenario section and table above for the information that applies to you.
I have not received a confirmation from Air Inuit with my new travel itinerary. What should I do?
In many cases, rebookings will happen automatically, and passengers will receive new itineraries from Air Inuit directly.
- If you booked your original flight directly through Canadian North and have not received a rebooking confirmation from Air Inuit, please contact Air Inuit at 1.800.361.2965 (available daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET).
- If your original flight was booked through a travel agency, third party or another airline, please contact your provider directly.
- If your original flight was an Aeroplan redemption flight booked through Aeroplan, there are three potential scenarios:
- For travel between Kuujjuaq and Montreal only, in either direction: Passengers are asked to contact Canadian North so we can confirm your contact information and to be rebooked onto an Air Inuit flight. Please contact Canadian North at 1.800.267.1247 at your earliest convenience.
- For travel on Canadian North between Iqaluit and Montreal (in either direction), details about how these bookings will be managed is forthcoming. This section will be updated when more information is available about your rebooking options.
- For travel on Canadian North between Montreal, Kuujjuaq, and your booking also contains a connecting flight on Air Canada or another airline, details about how these bookings will be managed is forthcoming. This section will be updated when more information is available about your rebooking options.
I am booked to travel Iqaluit/Kuujjuaq. What does this mean for me?
At this time, we are reviewing our Iqaluit-Kuujjuaq route schedule and will be prepared to communicate changes to those affected passengers if necessary.
I require special services for my travel. Who should I contact?
- For travel on the Montreal/Kuujjuaq route on or before August 5, 2025, please contact Canadian North’s customer call centre.
- For travel on the Montreal/Kuujjuaq route on or after August 6, 2025, all special requests will be handled by Air Inuit.

Can I use my Aurora Rewards points on Air Inuit?
No. The Aurora Rewards loyalty program is owned and operated by Canadian North, and points are not applicable to other airlines.
What does the transition mean for shipping cargo within the Montreal/Kuujjuaq corridor?
Air Inuit will assume the movement of air cargo with their own cargo products, rates and services. Canadian North’s corporate Air Cargo clients will be contacted by Air Inuit with information on their current rates and details about this transition. Non-corporate Air Cargo clients, and all other questions may refer to the Air Inuit website for more information.
