Canadian North’s cargo facility in Iqaluit (YFB) is at capacity, leading to immediate operational challenges. The wildfires in the Northwest Territories have directly impacted crew scheduling and cargo operations, further intensifying the situation. As a result, Canadian North can only accept essential medical supplies destined for remote and northern communities at its Iqaluit facility and will be unable to service regions north of Iqaluit, including the Hamlets and Baffin Regions, with other types of cargo. Cargo destined for Iqaluit itself will continue to be accepted. This restriction is in effect until further notice.
