September 16, 2021 (Ottawa, ON) – We have been alerted to a video of two cargo attendants off-loading an aircraft at the Iqaluit airport showing the individuals handling packages without proper care. It is completely unacceptable for Canadian North employees to be handling customer packages in such a manner.

What is shown in the video does not reflect our values of safety, integrity, teamwork, innovation, service excellence, community, and respect. It also does not reflect the vast majority of our employees who work hard to ensure we provide the best service possible.

We sincerely and unreservedly apologize for the incident. We will be taking disciplinary action and will be performing further training with all our cargo attendants.

We also wish to thank the individual who filmed the incident so that we are able to take corrective actions.
