The Canadian North team once again was proud to support Habitat for Humanity Iqaluit (HFHIQ) at its 18th annual charity golf tournament held in Gatineau, QC on August 22nd.
Two teams of Canadian North golfers hit the course, while other members of our team were on-site supporting the event and handing out snacks and refreshments to the golfers.
HFHIQ partners with local organizations to build homes in Iqaluit, offering zero-interest mortgages that help families secure safe and quality housing. Funds raised from this year’s tournament will support the construction of HFHIQ’s 8th home in Iqaluit, expected in 2027 or 2028.
Canadian North has proudly served as the official airline sponsor of the tournament since its first year. This year, our President and CEO Shelly De Caria, was once again at the tournament, presenting a cash donation to HFHIQ and flight certificates for the fundraising auction, and even taking a turn handing out snacks and drinks from the golf cart.
We are proud to continue supporting initiatives that create affordable and quality housing, which is proven to enhance health, education, and emotional well-being. These efforts also foster economic growth and vibrant communities, aligning with our mission: To Make Lives Better in the Communities We Serve.
