June 25, 2025 – As a result of the Montreal-Kuujjuaq route transition to Air Inuit, Canadian North is adjusting the schedule for flights between Kuujjuaq and Iqaluit.
Effective August 9, 2025, Canadian North’s Kuujjuaq-Iqaluit flight schedule will change from operating twice weekly, on Wednesday and Sunday, to operating one flight each week on Saturday. Additionally, passengers who were booked to travel between Ottawa and Iqaluit on Saturdays will now have a brief stopover in Kuujjuaq. Our Ottawa-Iqaluit daily direct service remains the same.
With this new schedule, passengers can purchase Saver, Flex, and Super Flex fares. Please note purchasing a ticket with the intention of not flying the full route (known as Skiplagging or dropping a leg) is not permitted, and may result in delayed or lost baggage, additional costs due at check-in, etc.
If you have travel planned between Iqaluit and Kuujjuaq on or after August 9, 2025
Only a small number of passengers are affected by this change and our Customer Contact Centre is working to re-book those affected on the next available flight. Some may have received notification already. Passengers affected by this change may choose to cancel for a full refund to the original form of payment.
If you have confirmed travel with us on this route and have not received your rebooking, our Customer Care Agents are happy to assist.
