FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, June 8, 2021 (Ottawa, ON) – Canadian North’s Ilak Program, discounted airfares for Inuit beneficiaries, is now open for booking on flights between Kuujjuaq and Montreal for passengers 18 years old and over. Bookings can be made immediately for travel beginning June 14, 2021.

To book using Ilak Fare, a proof of government-approved COVID-19 vaccination is required to confirm reservations. A fully vaccinated individual means that 14 days will have passed since their second dose of a two-dose vaccination or their first dose of a one-dose vaccination at time of travel. Passengers under the age of 18 years may book travel on Ilak Fare without providing proof of vaccination.

All travel restrictions currently in place for Nunavik as set by the Nunavik Board of Health and Social Services must still be followed. For more information on travel restrictions for Nunavik, please go to canadiannorth.com/coronavirus.
