FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, December 17, 2021 (Ottawa, ON) – Canadian North recently completed another successful Toy Drive with deliveries made to children in the Hamlets of Kimmirut, Clyde River, and Taloyoak in Nunavut. As the fourth year of this initiative, Canadian North staff and partners, including Canada Goose and Mastermind Toys, raised over $17,000 for the event, with the funds going towards purchasing new toys from Mastermind Toys in Ottawa and Edmonton.

This past Tuesday, December 14, 2021, Canadian North staff, members of the Hamlet and the RCMP delivered toys to families in Kimmirut. The toys were delivered door-to-door from staff wearing personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of the community. Toy distributions within Taloyoak and Clyde River also took place this week.

“Not only is this event so important to the children of these communities, but it also creates an opportunity for our employees to give back”, said Shelly De Caria, Senior Director, Sales & Community Investments. “Many of the toys offered by Mastermind Toys are not available in our communities, which makes this even more special for the kids”.
