Catherine joined Canadian North in January 2025 as its Chief People Officer. She is an experienced executive with a background in human resources, legal services, communications, stakeholder engagement, ESG, marketing, business development and governance. Her background includes numerous roles as a Senior Vice President at Export Development Canada, and with three diverse Boards of Directors as their Corporate Secretary. She is also a certified leadership development coach and accredited by the International Coaching Federation.

Catherine has worked with countless leaders and executives – helping them to increase their effectiveness; implement significant change and to develop high performance cultures. Catherine has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Columbia School of Business and attended the Institute for Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge. She is a graduate of Queen’s Law School and licensed to practice law in Ontario. Her community involvement ranges from non-profit Board work (Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa, Ottawa Gymnastics Club, Hamilton Chamber of Commerce) to support for leaders in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) who are working to eradicate childhood illiteracy. She is based at the Canadian North head office in Ottawa.
