Mr. Qiu is a highly experienced professional in the aviation industry. Having spent over 30 years at Air Canada, Lian accepted the role of Vice President, Corporate Planning & Special Projects, a position that will allow him to leverage his past experiences and expertise.

Throughout his career at Air Canada, Lian held various progressive roles, including Director of Strategic Planning, Director of International Planning, VP Planning of its low-cost subsidiary, Senior Director and Managing Director of Revenue Planning. Alongside his extensive professional experience, Lian holds a master’s degree in economics and an MBA and Yenching Fellowship from Harvard University.

Beyond his work in the aviation industry, Lian has also served as an officer and board member at several Air Canada subsidiary companies. His is also a respected academic and has previously served as a guest professor and chief researcher at the Management Institute of CAAC. With his wealth of knowledge and experience in the aviation industry, Lian is sure to be a valuable asset to Canadian North.
