Yellowknife Airport will be conducting a routine safety exercise on Thursday, December 7, 2023, beginning at approximately 1:00 PM MNT. Directed by the RCMP, this exercise will involve a building evacuation, expected to last about 1 hour, affecting all passengers in the airport.
The flight departing to Hay River is anticipated to be delayed as a result. During the exercise, a temporary traffic stop will also limit access to the terminal.
To minimize any risk of delay, we are advising all passengers travelling on flight 5T 608 to arrive at the airport no later than 12:30 PM MNT to check-in for their flight. For further information, please refer to the Government of Northwest Territories.
